There’s a shocker, huh? Not like it’s ever happened before. But apparently Eric Keroack will become the deputy assistant secretary for population affairs<\/a> for the Health and Human Services Department. The dispute comes from the fact that he was the medical director of A Woman’s Concern<\/a> – a non profit Christian pregnancy counseling organization in Massachusetts. Of course all of the usual suspects have turned out for the WaPo article;<\/p>\n

Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, called Keroack’s appointment “striking proof that the Bush administration remains dramatically out of step with the nation’s priorities.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Out of step with the nation’s priorities? I thought the Left wanted to make abortions rare – that’s what Bill Clinton told us. According to this 2001 article<\/a> I found, that’s what Dr Keroack wants, too. It seems that this nation’s abortion addicts are the ones out of touch with our priorities.<\/p>\n

And they oppose Keroack’s appointment just because A Woman’s Concern maintains that abstinence actually reduces the chance a woman will get pregnant? Imagine that.<\/p>\n

Of course, it’s nice to see that the President isn’t backing down completely on everything. He still appoints good people to essential jobs despite the Left’s whining.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
