We get our feel good stories from Chief Tango again, the first coming from Wyoming<\/a>;<\/p>\n

The suspect, who has not yet been identified by police, entered the pharmacy at about 9:45 Saturday morning and demanded narcotic pain pills, Police Chief Brian Kozak said.<\/p>\n

The man, described only as a white male, was “brandishing what the employees believed to be a firearm,” Kozak said. The weapon was ultimately determined by police to be a very realistic-looking toy gun.<\/p>\n

“The pharmacist then pulled out a firearm – a handgun, a revolver – and shot the suspect once in the chest,” Kozak said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The next story comes from Georgia<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Police accused Eric Bernard Monts Jr. of attempting to rob a woman and she shot him. The 20-year-old suspect is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The next is from California<\/a>;<\/p>\n

[Lt. Andre Hill] said police found one black man who had been shot in his upper torso area and was in critical condition.<\/p>\n

The shooting victim was transported to John Muir Hospital, where Hill said his status is still listed as critical.<\/p>\n

Hill said police have not positively identified the man.<\/p>\n

Police believe the homeowner confronted the man who was in the process of taking or had taken some items from the house or yard, Hill said.<\/p>\n

The homeowner is cooperating fully with detectives on the scene, Hill said. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The last story comes from Florida<\/a>;<\/p>\n

The deputy, identified as Jessie Holton, was alerted by another resident of burglaries in progress. While violently resisting arrest, Holton responded to the threat, discharging his firearm, and hitting McCloud.<\/p>\n

Police said Holton lives in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n

Police said McCloud was taken to the hospital with serious injures but is expected to recover.<\/p>\n

McCloud, who was arrested just days before for carrying a concealed firearm by convicted felon, has an extensive arrest record. McCloud is facing multiple charges in the incident including several burglaries in the Foothill Drive area and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, officials said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
