The first is from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nwfdailynews.com\/local\/man-spots-intruder-in-his-house-takes-the-shot-photos-video-1.403343\">Florida<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The resident was in bed when someone tried to force open his bedroom door, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff\u2019s Office call history record.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll he could see was a hand and an arm reaching through the door with a dark colored sleeve,\u201d the CAD report said.<\/p>\n<p>The 44-year-old resident fired his weapon into the door and heard the intruder running through the house. He didn\u2019t know if he hit him or not, the report said.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies later found the bullet in a kitchen microwave, according to a release from the Sheriff\u2019s Office. They found no blood or other evidence that the intruder had been struck.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"590\" height=\"332\" src=\"http:\/\/launch.newsinc.com\/?type=VideoPlayer\/Single&#038;widgetId=1&#038;trackingGroup=69016&#038;siteSection=nwfdailynews_pp_hom_non_non_pp&#038;videoId=28173926\" frameborder=\"no\" scrolling=\"no\" noresize marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The next story comes from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wmbfnews.com\/story\/27421974\/suspect-in-custody-after-fatal-shooting-in-north-myrtle-beach\">South Carolina<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The incident happened at a mobile home park on Tams Drive just before 8 p.m., said Chief Phil Webster with the North Myrtle Beach Police Department. Buchanan shot a man in the chest through a closed glass door that was separating the two men, according to Pat Dowling, public information officer.<\/p>\n<p>Webster said the department got the call at 8 p.m. Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives from the Solicitor&#8217;s Office also responded to the scene, and based on their initial findings and narratives, they advised the NMB Department of Public Safety not to charge Buchanan, until further investigation into the events surrounding the shooting, based on the Protection of Persons and Property Act, or the Castle Doctrine, according to Dowling.<\/p>\n<p>According to Horry County Solicitor Jimmy Richardson, the Castle Doctrine lays out a case for self-defense, and doesn&#8217;t apply just to someone being inside your home, but any place you have a right to be.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script type='text\/javascript' src='http:\/\/WMBF.images.worldnow.com\/interface\/js\/WNVideo.js?rnd=704707;hostDomain=www.wmbfnews.com;playerWidth=630;playerHeight=355;isShowIcon=true;clipId=10869384;flvUri=;partnerclipid=;adTag=News;advertisingZone=;enableAds=true;landingPage=;islandingPageoverride=false;playerType=STANDARD_EMBEDDEDscript;controlsType=overlay;galleryType=wnstory;galleryId=27421974'><\/script><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wmbfnews.com\" title=\"WMBFNews.com, Myrtle Beach\/Florence SC, Weather\">WMBFNews.com, Myrtle Beach\/Florence SC, Weather<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The print article reports that the homeowner was taken into custody, but the video says that he&#8217;s free now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chief Tango sends us our feel good stories this morning.
