So we got this picture this morning along with this narrative;<\/p>\n

A friend and I went out for a steak and a beer tonight and could not stop wondering about this gentleman. This green beret claims to have deployed to Vietnam, Iraq in 1983, and Afghanistan in 1993. Give me a hand here. I have a feeling that this guy is missing a thing or two. I’m an army veteran but, I must confess, I served three years active, and I have six ribbons for my uniform, and I need to go to rack builder.com to tell me how to line them up. I’m pretty much clueless on this subject. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yes, he’s totally legit, I can tell from the Cavalry flash (On edit;<\/strong> my bad, it looked white and red when I first saw it – but I guess it’s the 11th SFG flash) on his green beret (it might be a black beret) behind the Special Forces DUI and there’s a POW Medal, too, right next to foreign awards from Vietnam. And a senior NCO is authorized to unbutton the last few buttons on the jacket because we need the room for beer.<\/p>\n

And he was in Vietnam 10 years after the combat troops left and he was in Afghanistan ten years before US troops arrived, so he’s totally stud. I want to know who spends that kind of money on a uniform for $5 worth of free beer?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
