Last night, we got a message on Facebook that this fellow, James Michael Waldby surfaced in Meridian, Mississippi at their VFW post. His story was that he had been kicked off the train because of his “service dog” and could they please give him some money because he has an appointment at the VA in Oklahoma? And, oh, yeah, he’s waiting for the VA to deposit his disability check.<\/p>\n

Well, the good folks in Meridian Googled his name and found themselves at the post about him here at This Ain’t Hell<\/a>, where we had written about his scams before. Waldby scammed his way into a motorcycle club and got a few hundred bucks from them, he also scammed a church group out of some money telling them he’d just returned from Afghanistan and needed gas money to Fort Bragg. Actually, the Army had booted him in mid-1990.<\/p>\n

When he called back to the Meridian VFW post for his money, they mentioned his records posted at TAH, he claimed that his name was spelled Woldby, not Waldby – so we had the wrong person. Of course, the folks in Meridian didn’t fall for it. Funny how we spelled his name wrong, because his brother and sister chimed in on the original post and they spell their last name with an “a”.<\/p>\n

But, if you live between Mississippi and Oklahoma, you should be on the lookout for this guy. His family says that he’s fairly violent, so you should not approach him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
