Today’s feel good story comes from New Mexico<\/a>;<\/p>\n

The clerk told police that at about 6:45 p.m. Monday he heard a bell sound, signaling that someone had pulled into the drive-through. As he was going to greet the customers, two masked men walked in. One had an AR-15 rifle. The other had a shotgun.

The clerk had a pistol but hid it because the men were pointing the guns at him.<\/p>\n

The men talked about shooting the clerk in the arm, but didn\u2019t. One of the men \u2013 later identified as Lucero \u2013 forced the clerk\u2019s family members onto their stomachs between aisles of chips and sodas, brandishing the rifle, deputies said. He fired multiple shots at one of the store\u2019s surveillance cameras but missed, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

Deputies say Garza took off with the cash and valuables, and the pair got into a silver Mercedes. When the clerk went to lock the door, one of the suspects pointed a gun at him from the car window and he heard the other one saying \u201cshoot,\u201d the complaint states.<\/p>\n

The clerk fired at least five shots at the fleeing car with his pistol. Deputies said he carries the gun for protection.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A second story sent by Chief Tango comes from Colorado<\/a> where a woman was killed when she forced her way into an apartment in a home invasion scenario;<\/p>\n

Police said the homeowner heard loud banging on his front door, and when he went to see what was going on, discovered that a woman had managed to get inside the home.<\/p>\n

“Officers responded to find an 18-year-old female who had died from being shot after entry was forced into the home of a male homeowner whom she had a previous relationship with,” police said in a news release.<\/p>\n

Witnesses reported hearing at least five shots fired. Police haven’t said who fired the fatal shots. They were talking to several “parties of interest” and witnesses.<\/p>\n

The woman’s name has not been released by police but the Pueblo Chieftain identified the woman as Kirsten Djuric. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
