The POTUS appointed an Ebola \u201cczar\u201d with no medical or public health background. And the chief executive for the <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">semi-Communist<\/span> left-leaning, \u201cProgressive\u201d, multinational, corporate-style NGO and \u201canti-poverty aid agency\u201d called Oxfam claimed that Ebola <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/obama-calls-end-ebola-hysteria-110006011.html\">\u201ccould become the definitive humanitarian disaster of our generation\u201d<\/a> &#8211; while calling for more government resources to be devoted to the crisis, of course.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing unexpected in any of that, really. On the contrary: all was very predictable.<\/p>\n<p>So, what did our illustrious POTUS do yesterday? Yeah, you guessed it: <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/blog-briefing-room\/news\/221178-obama-hits-the-links-with-espn-host\">he went golfing with some guy from ESPN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I wish I could say that\u2019s unexpected or not predicted. But with this POTUS? Um, no \u2013 not unexpected, and also very predictable.<\/p>\n<p>I seem to remember at least one other major historical figure famously was accused of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.phrases.org.uk\/meanings\/fiddling-while-rome-burns.html\">engaging in his preferred recreational activities during a major crisis<\/a>. Even though the accusation may well be false &#8211; historical accounts differ on that point &#8211; history didn\u2019t treat him all that well. The phrase \u201cfiddle while Rome burns\u201d is today synonymous with both \u201cdisconnected, uncaring leadership\u201d and \u201cdereliction of duty\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Sound like anyone we know?<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/O_Ebola_2_Modified.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday the World Bank declared that the fight against Ebola is being \u201clost\u201d.
