FDA guidelines wouldn\u2019t let them use it<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/washington.cbslocal.com\/2014\/10\/17\/dallas-health-care-worker-who-handled-lab-specimen-from-ebola-patient-quarantined-on-caribbean-cruise-ship\/\">Another Dallas healthcare worker is \u201cself-quarantining\u201d.\u00a0 On a cruise ship in the Caribbean. Seriously.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/morning-mix\/wp\/2014\/10\/17\/syracuse-university-disinvites-washington-post-photographer-3-weeks-after-he-returned-from-liberia\/\">Shockingly, Syracuse University is actually erring on the side of caution and public safety. Even if they may be overreacting &#8211; good for them.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myfoxdc.com\/story\/26802920\/911-emergency-dispatchers-instructed-not-to-say-ebola-over-radio\">NYC 9\/11 dispatchers have a new \u201cbanned word\u201d on the radio \u2013 &#8220;Ebola&#8221;.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2014\/10\/ebola-political-correctness-could-kill-a-lot-of-us\/\">Pat Buchannan \u2013 who\u2019s often rather \u201cout there\u201d &#8211; is actually making sense.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/health\/2014\/10\/17\/study-questions-21-day-ebola-quarantine-period\/\">That &#8220;21-day&#8221; incubation period for Ebola?\u00a0 Well, there&#8217;s now a study suggesting it might sometimes be longer.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2014\/10\/poll-cdc-ebola-approval-111976.html\">Public confidence in the CDC? It\u2019s taken a major hit.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/hosted.ap.org\/dynamic\/stories\/U\/US_EBOLA_DALLAS?SITE=AP&amp;SECTION=HOME&amp;TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&amp;CTIME=2014-10-16-20-17-15\">Dallas healthcare workers who were possibly exposed required to stay home.<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/dfw.cbslocal.com\/2014\/10\/16\/dallas-top-health-epidemiologist-being-monitored-for-ebola\/\">This now includes Dallas\u2019 top epidemiologist.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/earlystart.blogs.cnn.com\/2014\/10\/17\/nurse-may-have-had-symptoms-of-ebola-longer-than-first-thought\/\">Remember the nurse who flew earlier this week with a low-grade fever?\u00a0 She may have had symptoms earlier than first reported &#8211; like 3 or 4 days earlier.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/worldnews\/ebola\/11170239\/Everything-you-need-to-know-about-Obamas-Ebola-czar.html\">We now have an Ebola &#8220;czar&#8221;. He&#8217;s a partisan political operative with no public health or medical background.<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2014\/10\/17\/white-house-ebola-czar-was-key-player-in-solyndra-scandal\/\">Who was also involved in the Solyndra debacle<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/articles\/2014\/10\/17\/u-s-soldiers-get-just-four-hours-of-ebola-training.html\">US troops deploying to &#8220;fight&#8221; Ebola in West Africa are indeed receiving training about the virus.\u00a0 All of four hours&#8217; worth.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nejm.org\/doi\/full\/10.1056\/NEJMoa1411100#t=articleBackground\">And in Africa, as of mid-September (latest date for which complete data exists) the outbreak was still growing exponentially in all 3 affected countries.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And, in a story that\u2019s certainly guaranteed to make you feel \u201creally happy and safe\u201d:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.weeklystandard.com\/articles\/six-reasons-panic_816387.html\">Want a reason to panic? It\u2019s worth reading, even considering the source.\u00a0 Because if the tools and fools calling the shots in DC don\u2019t wake up and start taking effective measures &#8211; and a few things go wrong &#8211; the country could indeed end up in seriously deep sh!t.<\/p>\n<p>Are you listening yet, Mr. President?
