Time<\/span> today has a short article<\/a> concerning perhaps the most incompetent President this nation has ever had.\u00a0 Like it\u2019s subject, the article is brief \u2013 and uninspiring.<\/p>\n

But it does have this little \u201cnugget of wisdom\u201d:<\/p>\n

Former President Jimmy Carter claimed Wednesday that he would have been re-elected and beaten Ronald Reagan in 1980 if had been more \u201cmanly\u201d in his dealings with Iran.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Clueless One goes on to claim that his \u201cprayers were answered\u201d when \u201cevery hostage came home safe and free”, and that he\u2019d have been reelected if he\u2019d started a war. He implies that he took the moral high ground instead, and suffered the consequences.<\/p>\n

Looks to me like Jimmy the Clueless is still fond of slinging some kind of \u201cnuggets\u201d.\u00a0 But I\u00a0 wouldn\u2019t exactly call what he\u2019s slinging here \u201cwisdom\u201d.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a clue for ya, Jimmy-boi<\/em> \u2013 \u201cmorality\u201d doesn\u2019t have a damn thing to do with why you allowed this nation to be humiliated by Khomeini\u2019s Iran. Rather, you didn\u2019t act more \u201cmanly\u201d because you weren\u2019t capable of being more more \u201cmanly<\/em>\u201d.\u00a0 You simply didn\u2019t have it in you<\/span>.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why you weren\u2019t more “manly” in dealing with Iran. Period. So don\u2019t p!ss on our legs almost 34 years after the fact and tell us it\u2019s raining.<\/p>\n

Let me \u2018splain something else to ya, Peanut-boi<\/em>. This nation is still<\/span> paying for your Administration’s clueless incompetence in the Middle East from 1977-1981. Even today that example of stunning, feckless foreign policy idiocy emboldens Islamist groups worldwide.<\/p>\n

And I haven’t even mentioned your impotent, hand-wringing, supine response to Russia’s invasion of Afghanistan.\u00a0 (Yeah, that “Olympic Boycott” really hurt those nasty Soviets, didn’t it?\u00a0 They pulled right out of Afghanistan the day it was announced – right?) \u00a0 Without that invasion, there’s no need to support any mujahideen<\/em> – period.\u00a0 Your policies in Iran doubtless tipped the scales for the Soviets on making that grab.<\/p>\n

They knew<\/span> you’d stand by and do nothing effective.\u00a0 You’d already proven that in Iran.<\/p>\n

Finally:\u00a0 though it will never be proven, I am convinced that had you not stood by with your thumb firmly inserted as the Shah and Iran fell to radical Islam 9\/11 would never have happened. A strong, friendly Iran would have been a much simpler and easier way to deliver US support to Afghan mujahideen<\/em> than Pakistan. Without the need to use Pakistan as a conduit for that aid, al Qaeda and the Afghan Taliban probably never happen.\u00a0 Hell, with a strong Iran friendly towards the US, the Soviet Afghan invasion IMO probably doesn’t happen at all.<\/p>\n

Put that in your \u201cpeanut jar\u201d and munch on it, Jimmy.\u00a0 And then, how about you just shut the hell up.<\/p>\n
