Chief Tango sends us our first story this morning from Houston<\/a>;<\/p>\n

“We never thought we’d get robbed because there’s always so many people in here,” Nickel said. “We were in the back mixing some boudin and everybody came in and goes: ‘Run, run outside. There’s somebody in here with a gun.’<\/p>\n

“I looked out a window and all I could see was his hand with a pistol. I didn’t know what to do.”<\/p>\n

That’s when Nickel took action. He fired two shots, hitting the man in the back of the head.<\/p>\n

“Just spur of the moment,” he said. “I just did what I had to do. Everything happened and I just did it on instinct. I was just worried about everyone else in here.”<\/p>\n

The robber stumbled out of the door and was able to run away, as the search for the robber continues.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The next story comes from Oregon<\/a>;<\/p>\n

The resident told deputies he\u2019d been staying at the house, which belonged to a relative who died over a year ago, because the home has been burglarized several times in the last few weeks.<\/p>\n

The Sheriff\u2019s Office said the man was awakened by someone trying to force their way in through the front door. He shot a single round from a shotgun at the door, which hit Kustov in the head and neck.<\/p>\n

Deputies arrested Kustov\u2019s alleged accomplice, Rebecca Picken, 20, of Molalla, for drug possession and distribution charges. Picken is being held at the Clackamas County Jail.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
