The first story this morning comes from MrBill who sends this nugget from San Antonio<\/a>;<\/p>\n

The shooter was sitting in a truck when the man who was killed, who has not been identified, approached him, police said. The man, who was in his 20s, ordered the shooter to get out of the vehicle, claiming to be a police officer. But officials said it appeared he was attempting a robbery.<\/p>\n

The shooter told police he asked the man for his badge as he got out of the truck, but then the man told him he was going to steal the truck.<\/p>\n

The shooter then pulled out a gun and opened fire, striking the man at least three times in the abdomen. The man was taken to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after 10:05 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.<\/p>\n

The shooter remained at the scene and was taken into custody for questioning. Police said no charges were expected because the man appeared to be acting in self defense. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Police aren’t releasing many details, but they said 29-year-old Leo Alston was killed inside the Rose Mart on Outer Loop Road. The store was closed Wednesday after the shooting.<\/p>\n

Police say Alston walked inside the Rose Mart, a struggle ensued, and then he was shot. Alston has a long criminal record. He has felony conviction in Granville and Vance counties.<\/p>\n

Police are not saying who pulled the trigger, or if anybody else was injured.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
