This morning’s first feel good story comes from Ohio<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Marlo White, 37, was sleeping on the third floor of his home at about 7:30 a.m. Monday when an adult male broke into the house, said Cincinnati Assistant Police Chief Paul Humphries.<\/p>\n

The noise made during the break-in woke White. He grabbed his gun, went to confront the intruder and tried to fire it, Humphries said, but the gun was not loaded.<\/p>\n

“The burglar was startled and ran,” Humphries said.<\/p>\n

Outside, two boys, 15 and 14, were waiting for the intruder, according to police. The homeowner loaded his gun and fired at them as they stood outside his side window, police said.<\/p>\n

A bullet hit the 15-year-old, entering through his calf. He ran, a trail of blood spotting a block-long section of sidewalk on a street directly behind White’s home on Groesbeck.<\/p>\n

Police found the wounded teen in a home where he is not a resident.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

OK, he should have stopped when he scared the burglar away with his gun. What is it with people with unloaded guns in their homes, anyway?<\/p>\n

Here’s another one from California<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Grachia Nalbanyan allegedly entered the home in the 6200 block of Matilija Avenue at 11:10 p.m. Monday. According to a statement by the Los Angeles Police Department, Nalbanyan attacked the homeowner who then shot the suspect in the hip with a handgun.<\/p>\n

Nalbanyan, who is on federal probation for possession of a firearms, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. He was reportedly unarmed at the time of the home invasion.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
