One was coming to work and the other was leaving, one was killed immediately, and the other is recovering in the hospital;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A person of interest identified as Jeffrey Hudak, 48, was being questioned by police, Trooper Connie Devens said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No one is in custody or under arrest,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Mr. Hudak is being questioned as a person of interest.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Noonan confirmed that one trooper was killed and the other was injured and taken to Geisinger Medical Center in Scranton, where he was in stable condition after undergoing surgery.<\/p>\n<p>He provided few details on the shooting but said the attack seemed to be directed at state police.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Pike County, their patrol area, borders New York and New Jersey which have deployed officers to help in the investigation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE<\/strong> from <a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/wireStory\/report-shooting-pennsylvania-police-barracks-25477646\">Associated Press<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan] identified the dead lawman as Cpl.
