<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nYou may remember Richard Rahn who we featured the other day when he dressed up in the uniform of a sergeant major at a gathering in Minnesota. Well, apparently, the local LEOs have arrested him for being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to a link sent to us by John from CBS Minnesota<\/a>;<\/p>\n Authorities say they had received a tip that Rahn had a felony conviction in another state, thus making it illegal for him to have certain firearms.<\/p>\n Another warrant was served Wednesday at a storage unit in Willmar, where officers seized two more firearms, as well as a U.S. Army dress uniform adorned with medals and insignias.<\/p>\n Police had received complaints that Rahn was posing as a highly decorated officer.<\/p>\n Investigators are determining whether Rahn\u2019s use of the uniform violates a federal statute. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n Let me help; He’s wearing a Purple Heart and a Soldiers Medal, so yeah, smoke him.<\/p>\n Chip sends us another link to the arrest from the West Central Tribune<\/a>;<\/p>\n According to the news release, a number of complaints had been received recently of a Willmar resident posing as a highly decorated officer in the United States Army. According to the complaints, the individual appeared in uniform at various events and claimed to have served in the Army Rangers. A Facebook user reported spotting the alleged impersonator at the Olivia VFW Aug. 9.<\/p>\n The individual was identified as Rahn and some people also reported to police that the individual had a criminal record in another state.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n I feel somewhat gratified that Stolen Valor is now recognized by the general public, whereas a few years ago, the dude might have got away with it. But as I’ve said, stolen valor is just a symptom in these people. There’s always something else that they’ve done which is illegal.<\/p>\n ADDED:<\/strong> Guardians of Valor<\/a> say that he never served a day in the military.
