There has been some discussion in the military internet community in regards to Cory Alan Jackson of Range Time<\/a>, a tactical shooting school. Apparently, he hung his reputation on being an 11B Army infantryman, but folks around the internet have unearthed information to the contrary, folks like SOFREP<\/a>. I’ve been sitting on this for a few months until it all shakes out, and apparently it has. here, Jackson claims to be an 11B;<\/p>\n

Jackson claims that he was discharged because of a medical condition that he concealed at the time of his enlistment; <\/p>\n

But the truth is that he was discharged because he went AWOL\/Deserter from basic training;<\/p>\n

In the great scheme of phonies, this is probably a minor offense to many of you, but, we’re talking about someone who is training people to use firearms in the real world. There are so many choices out there, I’d prefer an instructor who didn’t make a commitment to the nation’s security and then walked away from it and pretend that he didn’t walk away. But your mileage may vary.<\/p>\n

But the fact that he and his friends went to the mattresses in this controversy says something about them, too. He could have admitted to being a shitbag AWOL basic trainee and the discussion would all be over by now, so poor judgement. An abject lesson.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
