<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nYesterday, we talked a bit<\/a> about Michael Westbay, the founder of the supposed charity Wounded Veterans Working who was spotted wearing his uniform with the badges and patches completely opposite of the way they should be worn. Well, our friends at Guardian of Valor<\/a> dug a little deeper and found the picture above of him with a Ranger neck tattoo – which makes him totally legit, right?<\/p>\n Well, not according to GoV – it seems that he was like so many others we’ve seen lately who spent a few weeks in the military and decided that was enough to make them SEALs or Rangers or Snipers or Special Forces, or whatever they think fit their personality on a given day.<\/p>\n So we reached out to our contacts to see if this guy earned anything he is rocking, and if he ever served at all, turns out he did actually serve, but very briefly.<\/p>\n He enlisted in April of 1998 and reported to Fort Jackson, South Carolina and was discharged in May of 1998 with a medical condition that excluded him from serving. He was discharged as a Private (E1) with no awards, so he had a total of one month of service. I don\u2019t believe that\u2019s long enough to have earned all that bling!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n It looks like Wounded Veterans Working might be a legit 501(c)(3) organization, they’ve fired their founder, William Westbay, and they vow to continue the mission, but I think they’re dreaming. I’m pretty sure they’re tainted beyond recovery.<\/p>\n And, some of these guys are so 8TFU, we don’t need no stinkin’ FOIA.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
