The town of Cormorant, to be precise.<\/p>\n<p>Their new mayor is a bit, well, different.\u00a0 He goes by only one name. That name? \u201cDuke\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>No, it\u2019s not really odd for him to have only one name.. The new mayor is a dog.<\/p>\n<p>Literally.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myfoxny.com\/story\/26269397\/dog-elected-mayor-in-minnesota\">I\u2019m not joking<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hey, first the \u201cgood voters\u201d of Minnesota elected Jesse Ventura as governor. Then they elected Al \u201cFelons&#8217; Choice\u201d Franken to the US Senate. So why <em>wouldn&#8217;t<\/em> they elect a damn dog to public office?<\/p>\n<p>I couldn&#8217;t find out if Duke&#8217;s coat is considered &#8220;yellow&#8221;, or if he ran as a Democrat.\u00a0 But both of those being true would indeed be apropos &#8211; then he&#8217;d truly be a &#8220;yellow-dog Democrat.&#8221;\u00a0 (smile)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A town in Minnesota has a new mayor.
