{"id":53415,"date":"2014-07-08T07:00:05","date_gmt":"2014-07-08T11:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=53415"},"modified":"2014-07-07T19:37:32","modified_gmt":"2014-07-07T23:37:32","slug":"chicago-ordered-to-pay-nras-legal-expenses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=53415","title":{"rendered":"Chicago ordered to pay NRA&#8217;s legal expenses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2014\/jul\/7\/court-orders-chicago-pay-nra-legal-fees\/\">The Washington Times<\/a> reports that the court has ordered the city of Chicago to pay the National Rifle Association&#8217;s legal costs in a recent case;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The NRA had challenged a Chicago law banning gun sales within the city limits that a federal court ruled unconstitutional in January.<\/p>\n<p>Chicago also paid the NRA $600,000 in legal fees following the U.S. Supreme Court\u2019s landmark 2010 ruling that the Second Amendment\u2019s right to keep and bear arms applies to the states.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And they still haven&#8217;t learned with their unnecessarily complex attempt at restructuring their laws so no one will ever be able to comply with the new rules.
