Time for a quick trip in the Wayback Machine \u2013 to 1987.<\/p>\n
Remember our current Vice President? You know, the candidate who was forced to drop out of the 1988 Presidential Campaign after being exposed as a serial plagiarizer<\/a>?<\/p>\n Well, it looks like he\u2019s at it again. But this time, it appears he\u2019s taking direct liberties with the truth vice appropriating others’ words and work.<\/p>\n Like, well, something that looks a helluva lot like baldfaced lying.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s a direct quote from the man<\/a>:\u00a0 \u201cI don\u2019t own a single stock or bond.\u00a0 I have no savings account.\u201d<\/p>\n Really, Mr. Vice-President? That\u2019s not what the official Executive Branch Personnel Public Financial Disclosure Report<\/a> you signed says.\u00a0 It indicates you and your wife have a joint savings account.<\/p>\n Here, “joint” means you own it too, Mr. Vice-President.<\/p>\n Your disclosure form also shows you and she have some other accounts and investments as well.\u00a0 Though to be fair, none of those accounts are formally called a “savings” account, or are an individual stock or bond.\u00a0 Instead, they’re other forms of bank accounts and\/or stock\/bond funds.\u00a0 And most do seem to be in your wife’s name.<\/p>\n I guess we know which one in that couple is interested in – and capable of – planning for their future.<\/p>\n Still:\u00a0 look for someone to start asking \u201cWhat difference does it make?\u201d real soon now. Like maybe someone with a net worth of around $100M<\/a> who claims to be \u201cnot truly well off\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 Or perhaps Senator Fauxahontas, who publicly stated that no one in Congress should own stock \u2013 while at the time living in a $5M house and owning a stock portfolio worth around $8M<\/a>.<\/p>\n But remember:\u00a0 those claims concern money, and those claims are coming from liberals.\u00a0 Their claims must<\/em> be the truth, and can’t<\/em> be motivated by greed.
