{"id":52205,"date":"2014-06-25T07:00:53","date_gmt":"2014-06-25T11:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=52205"},"modified":"2014-06-24T16:48:32","modified_gmt":"2014-06-24T20:48:32","slug":"arlington-cemetery-gun-shot-victim-identified","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=52205","title":{"rendered":"Arlington Cemetery gun shot victim identified"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our friends at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.armytimes.com\/article\/20140624\/NEWS06\/306240075\/Man-found-dead-Arlington-National-Cemetery-retired-Air-Force-colonel-92\">Army Times<\/a> report that Army CID has identified the gun shot victim found at Section 64 in Arlington Cemetery last week as 92-year-old Air Force Colonel Robert Stanton Terril. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAlthough we have not completely ruled it out in order to conduct a complete and thorough investigation, we do not suspect foul play at this point in the investigation,\u201d said Chris Grey, spokesman for the Army\u2019s Criminal Investigation Command, the lead agency investigating the death.<\/p>\n<p>Terrill\u2019s neighbors confirmed that his late wife, Helen, who died in 2009, is buried at Arlington. The cemetery\u2019s online grave finder lists Helen Terrill as being buried in Section 64, where Terrill was found dead.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I hope the colonel found the peace for which he ached silently. However, I&#8217;d point out that suicide is never the right answer, no matter how attractive it seems at the time.
