My latest email from the hags at Code Pink celebrates the end of “the war” – whatever war it is they’re talking about. Somehow, they figure that because Barack Obama has been elected, the troops will be on their way home on January 20th and the thugs who want us all dead will somehow have a change of heart because the Pinkistas delivered apple pie, flowers and cards to their embassies (I kid you not – apple pies, flowers and cards) Here’s the email;<\/p>\n

Oh, really? I sure hope Barack brings enough pixie dust for the whole country on the 20th. I wonder how they’ll explain away the next attack.<\/p>\n

That quote from Alice Walker (the author of “The Color Purple” and Code Pink member) is the most naive and childish thing I’ve ever read written by an adult;<\/p>\n

“I think war is so incredibly backward, and I don’t think it’s intelligent, and it’s not sane. When I think of Obama leading us, I think that we elected someone who can actually have the humility to follow us, which is to say that the world is turning away from militarism. We’re sick of it. We are absolutely sick of starving children, raped women, abused populations. We are totally disgusted. And we have the power, really, to say, ‘No more.'”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That’s the way an award-winning author speaks these days? If I didn’t know better, I’d have thought it was written by a 1st grader. They expect Barack Obama to follow them? Is that why we elected him? To follow every crowd of crackpots that raises their voice? Funny, but I remember someone telling me that the President is supposed to be a leader.<\/p>\n

And that “The War Is So Over” sounds like a bunch of post-menopausal hags trying to sound hip. Oh. Never mind.<\/p>\n

By the way, does anyone know if Roger Ailes is paying bonuses to the Fox News talent for every time they say “Barack Obama” on the air?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
