MCPO Ret. In TN sends a link to Deseret News<\/a> about Jeremy Keith Taulborg, a Utah man who claimed to be an Army Special Forces soldier and police officer to convince a bank to cash his $28,000 check on a closed account.<\/p>\n

Taulborg has never worked for the Park City Police Department, according to city officials. Likewise, he has never served as a special deputy U.S. marshal, an Army Special Forces weapons sergeant or a police officer in Ohio, as he allegedly claimed on social media websites.<\/p>\n

Taulborg will be sentenced July 2. He faces up to 15 years in prison for the communications fraud conviction and up to six months in jail for the theft conviction.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
