Hardly are those words out<br \/>\nWhen a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi<br \/>\nTroubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert<br \/>\nA shape with lion body and the head of a man,<br \/>\nA gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,<br \/>\nIs moving its slow thighs, while all about it<br \/>\nReel shadows of the indignant desert birds.<br \/>\nThe darkness drops again; but now I know<br \/>\nThat twenty centuries of stony sleep<br \/>\nWere vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,<br \/>\nAnd what rough beast, its hour come round at last,<br \/>\nSlouches towards Bethlehem to be born?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For my selection, I will go with Percy Bysshe Shelley, who although an Englishman and a Karl Marx enthusiast always struck me as turning a good phrase.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/statue.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4805\" title=\"statue\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/statue-300x218.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/statue-300x218.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/statue.jpg 495w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>OZYMANDIAS<br \/>\nI met a traveller from an antique land<br \/>\nWho said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone<br \/>\nStand in the desert.
