<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nYou may have missed the news, but Operation American Spring, the gathering of anti-Obama Americans in DC touted to be tens of millions of marchers demanding the ouster of many in the administration as well as some Republicans, kind of flopped on Friday when only a few hundred showed up according to the Washington Times<\/a>;<\/p>\n Operation American Spring was billed as far back as six months ago as a rally call for patriotic Americans to force leaders in Washington, D.C., to return to a more limited and constitutional style of governance \u2014 and to oust those leaders who weren\u2019t listening. Among the group\u2019s targets: Mr. Obama and Mr. Boehner, as well as Attorney General Eric Holder, Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid, Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, vice president Joe Biden and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.<\/p>\n Initial projections were for between 10 million and 30 million to come from around the nation and converge on the downtown capital city streets outside the White House and Capitol Building \u2014 a number the organizer of the event, Army Col. Harry Riley, called optimistic yet doable, given one million militia had already agreed to come.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n While I agree with much of what the march symbolized, when you depend on the militias to round out your numbers, I’m not going to be there for you. For one thing, they’re fringe crackpots who are most interested in themselves, marching around in uniforms they wouldn’t wear in the military because they’re lazy.
