{"id":47008,"date":"2014-05-13T12:59:17","date_gmt":"2014-05-13T16:59:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=47008"},"modified":"2014-05-13T13:03:51","modified_gmt":"2014-05-13T17:03:51","slug":"nigerian-scammer-gets-punked","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=47008","title":{"rendered":"Nigerian Scammer Gets &#8220;Punked&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve all seen and heard the Nigerian scam e-mails.\u00a0 In general, they\u2019re of the pattern:\u00a0 \u201cJust send me some <em>(money\/merchandise)<\/em>, and I\u2019ll <em>(cut you in on the proceeds from an illicit deal worth many times as much)<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Well, a few years ago one man turned the tables on one of those scammers.\u00a0 In this case, the scammer wanted some laptop computers.\u00a0 So the scammer&#8217;s intended target claimed to have a computer company &#8211; and promised to send him some promotional models, provided the scammer did two things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>paid for shipping to Nigeria, and<\/li>\n<li>made an English-language commercial for the man\u2019s company \u2013 Anus Computers -\u2013 using a script the man provided to the scammer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In reality, the guy then shipped the scammer a large block of wood.\u00a0 (Another version I&#8217;ve seen says he also sent a load of broken computer parts.)\u00a0 And the \u201ccommercial\u201d that resulted is a classic.<\/p>\n<p>Without further ado \u2013 the \u201cAnus Computer Commercial\u201d.\u00a0 Audio level is pretty low, so you\u2019ll need to turn up the sound a bit.\u00a0 There are multiple takes; the better ones start at about 1:30.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the original source &#8211; scambaiter.com &#8211; seems to have gone on to that great bit-bucket in the sky.
