Another day, another ridiculous endorsement from a Veterans Group<\/a>.\u00a0 Today’s nonpartisan veterans endorsement comes from Veterans and Military Families for Progress.<\/p>\n

WASHINGTON, Oct. 29 \/PRNewswire-USNewswire\/ — By vote of the Board of Directors, Veterans and Military Families for Progress (www.vmfp.org<\/span><\/span><\/a>) proudly endorses Senator Barack Obama<\/span> in the upcoming United States presidential election<\/span>. Barack Obama\u2019s veteran affairs adviser, will lead discussions Tuesday in Indianapolis, Anderson and Fort Wayne on the Democratic presidential nominee\u2019s plan to build a 21st-century VA, which including fully funding for VA medical facilities, expanding the number of veterans centers, and ensuring veterans have opportunities following their service.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Richard Klass of the Veterans for Alliance and Security (VETPAC) organization. The discussion will focus on Memorial Day and what it means to our veterans. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That would be the same Col Klass who is Co-chair of Vets for Obama, and himself did the endorsement for VETPAC. The similiarities are uncanny, no?<\/p>\n

Recent efforts designed to smear an honorable, patriotic veteran like Congressman John Murtha (PA-12) are an attack on all of us. Because Congressman Murtha speaks out based on his experience as a decorated veteran and faithful steward of military matters in congress, some, unable or unwilling to debate the merit of the issues he raises, attack him personally. Such a tactic is an attack on freedom and democracy itself. These efforts are designed to prey on Americans\u2019 fear, and are an abuse of Americans\u2019 sense of reason, in an effort to link fear to people\u2019s personal patriotism.<\/p>\n
