{"id":44623,"date":"2014-04-24T05:30:36","date_gmt":"2014-04-24T09:30:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=44623"},"modified":"2014-04-23T18:08:48","modified_gmt":"2014-04-23T22:08:48","slug":"another-dating-site-scammer-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=44623","title":{"rendered":"Another dating site scammer arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?attachment_id=44624\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-44624\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Adagun-Moshood-Olalekan-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"Adagun Moshood Olalekan\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-44624\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Adagun-Moshood-Olalekan-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Adagun-Moshood-Olalekan.jpg 214w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Adagun Moshood Olalekan was arrested last month, according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stltoday.com\/news\/local\/crime-and-courts\/fake-soldier-indicted-for-wooing-defrauding-madison-county-woman\/article_878b3968-6f2c-5343-8883-67c5eaf5928e.html\">St Louis Post-Dispatch<\/a> for pretending to be a US soldier in Afghanistan to soak the lonely ladies out of their cash;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Olalekan used those profiles on dating sites like Zoosk.com, where he claimed to be widower with a 16-year-old daughter, and romanced American women via \u201cromantic emails and instant messages\u201d and \u201cfalse promises of marriage,\u201d the indictment claims.<\/p>\n<p>Olalekan then manipulated the women into wiring him thousands of dollars by claiming his grandmother needed medical treatment for mouth cancer, the indictment says.<\/p>\n<p>Olalekan was indicted on four wire fraud charges Tuesday in U.S. District Court in East St. Louis, for four payments sent by someone from Collinsville totaling $1061.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ladies, the simple rule is; if you haven&#8217;t met the fellow, don&#8217;t send him money. If you have met him, don&#8217;t send him money. They don&#8217;t need money for operations or to go on leave or to come home from the war. <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/news.naij.com\/64567.html\">Economic and Financial Crimes Commission<\/a>, EFCC in Nigeria actually charged the little dude and he&#8217;s facing 17 counts;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Olalekan\u2019s arrest followed a complaint by the United States Department of Homeland Security, alleging that the accused had been impersonating one Lieutenant-Colonel Cabin Cayce Webb, an American soldier on special duties in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the charge against Olalekan reads: \u201cAdagun Moshood Olalekan (a.k.a Lieutenant Colonel Cadin Cayce Webb) on or about 6th day of October, 2013 in Lagos within the Lagos Judicial Division with intent to defraud obtained the sum $800 (Eight Hundred United States Dollar) by false pretence from Diana Snow by falsely representing to her that you are one Lieutenant Colonel Cadin Cayce Webb which representation you know to be false\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s nice that Nigeria is prosecuting these fellows and that DHS is complaining about them.
