<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nChief Tango sends us our feel good story for this morning, this time it’s from Dayton, Ohio<\/a> where Jeffrey Ellison tried to rob the local laundromat with a hammer;<\/p>\n Jeffery Ellison, 18, is accused of trying to rob the Laundro-Mania using a hammer just before 11 p.m. Saturday. <\/p>\n The owner got his gun and shot twice, hitting Ellison in the leg. <\/p>\n “We’ve actually been looking for this guy. We didn’t know his identity yet but we had some surveillance video. He’d broken into this laundromat two other times to do the same thing, to steal coins out of the machines. We’re happy that he got caught,” Dayton Police Sgt. Eric Sheldon said. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n Well, gun control is starting to work, right?<\/p>\n Ohio and Chief Tango both sent us this one; In Winter Haven, Florida<\/a>, homeowner found an uninvited guest coming through his French doors;<\/p>\n A suspect allegedly tried to enter a home when three family members armed themselves and defended their residence, police said.<\/p>\n Luis F. Pena, Bacenbina A. Pena, and the son, Luis A. Pena, all live in the home. They apparently heard someone rattling the back French doors and saw a white male trying to enter their home.<\/p>\n FOX 13’s Aaron Mesmer reports that the intruder was, in fact, a stranger. The father fired a warning shot, police said.<\/p>\n When the suspect did not stop the burglary, all three family members armed themselves and shot at the burglar.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n A family that shoots together, lives together.<\/p>\n And an update to yesterday’s feel good story<\/a> about 83-year-old Walter Jones in Alabama<\/a> who stopped a home invasion with a center-mass shot. Police located Mr Home Invader at a local hospital getting his center mass treated;<\/p>\n The suspect is also accused of breaking into another home on Chapman Avenue, a few blocks away, just before being shot. That victim, a 60-year-old man, told police he was asleep when the intruder burst in and threatened him with a framing hammer. The victim escaped uninjured.<\/p>\n After the suspect is released from the hospital, he will be charged with one count each of first-degree robbery and second-degree burglary, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
