I used to know a guy that never had a thought he couldn’t help but verbalize. There was nothing he wouldn’t say among any type of crowd as soon as it popped in his head – usually at the most inappropriate time. The media is beginning to be just like that.<\/p>\n
Every time one of these so-called journalists has a brainfart, they think it’s a brilliant deep thought and they just have to tell everyone. Edgar Hoover, director of the FBI from 1924 to 1972, used the term liberally to describe African Americans who spent their lives fighting for equality.<\/p>\n […]<\/p>\n McCain and Palin have simply reached back in history to use an old code word for black. It set whites apart from those deemed unAmerican and those who could not be trusted during the communism scare.<\/p>\n Shame on McCain and Palin.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n So, even if Hoover did indeed use “socialist” as a code word for Black people, why would anyone think that the rest of us do? Is Hugo Chavez using it as a code word, too, when he has his palace guard chant “Socialism or death”? I wonder how many Blacks died when Lenin purged the socialists.<\/p>\n Miriam-Webster says a socialist is “one who advocates or practices socialism<\/em>” not a word about skin color. And it also defines socialism as “a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done<\/em>“.
