Even before official results were announced, the White House denounced the vote on Crimea joining Russia, saying it violated Ukraine’s constitution and international law and was held under “threats of violence and intimidation from a Russian military intervention.”<\/p>\n
It said “no decisions should be made about the future of Ukraine without the Ukrainian government” and noted that Russia had rejected the deployment of international monitors in Crimea to ensure the rights of ethnic Russians there were protected.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
So, I guess this administration found a constitution that it likes and it happens to be the Ukraine’s constitution. Too bad it wasn’t our Constitution for a change. But Secretary of State John Kerry threatened that the US will now “impose penalties” on Russia. I guess we’ll block the export of KFC’s 11 herbs and spices and rock music. Maybe we’ll airdrop Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus into Red Square and start a twerking frenzy from which the Russians can never recover.<\/p>\n
