I’m terrible at raising money and asking for money, so I’ll make this short and sweet. Some folks in the Nate Fornwalt<\/a> discussion wanted to take up money for Nate’s victim, Matthew Ott, the thirteen-year-old who gave the phony a couple of thousand bucks. While it’s not our responsibility to replace the money, I guess it would make Matthew think better of veterans. Anyway, a couple of folks have already donated some and I’m going to toss in the money that you’ve sent in the last week or so.<\/p>\n

I just got off the phone with Matthew and John and they already know who they want to send to money to, so when I get your money, I’ll be writing the check to the beneficiary, not Matthew or John. They’re thinking that the beneficiary of the money will be a deserving vet in their area (who they’ve already vetted) and the local Gold Star mothers.<\/p>\n
