From Scotty<\/a> comes Robert David Miller who claims that he was injured in the Beirut bombing in 1983, and he’s now suffering from injuries he sustained in that tragic event. While he may have injuries, they didn’t come from him being present.<\/p>\n

In this post, his advocate says that the VA won’t help him because Beirut didn’t occur during a “non-war period” and we all know that’s bullshit. This person also says that he needs a $20,000 wheelchair. I’d like to see a $20,000 wheelchair. I just bought my own power wheel chair for $1600, so I have no idea what kind of whistles and bells a $20,000 wheelchair would have on it.<\/p>\n

In this post we discover that Robert was awarded a Purple Heart and a “Medal of Valor” whatever that is;<\/p>\n

He was in the Marine Corps Reserves during the Beirut thing, and I can’t find any reserve units that deployed to Beirut, and while I sympathize with his injuries, he should come clean about how he was injured instead of trying to play the injured war hero.
