Chief Tango sends us our feel good story for this morning, this time from Kansas City<\/a> where a man temptingly left his car running in his driveway to warm up before his drive. It proved too much of a temptation for four gentlemen;<\/p>\n

Police initially reported the incident as a home invasion, however after further investigation, police determined the man was shot when he confronted the would-be thieves.<\/p>\n

\u201c[He] heard the car leaving, trying to leave the driveway,\u201d Thomas Tomasic, KCK police officer said. \u201cSuspects had gotten in and tried to steal the car. At that time the homeowner came out confronted the suspects. Suspect and homeowner got into a gunfight, shooting at each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police said the homeowner had left the car engine running.<\/p>\n

The two suspects, described as black males, bailed from the four-door silver car in the middle of the street and took off running. Police tried to track them down with their canine unit but had no luck. They were later apprehended in a second-floor apartment at the Legend Oaks Apartment building. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
