So, as he was leaving Israel yesterday, Secretary of State John Kerry vowed US support to the government of Iraq with limitations. From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2014\/01\/05\/kerry-vows-support-for-iraq-government-in-fallujah-but-wont-send-us-troops\/\">Fox News<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Speaking as he left Jerusalem for Jordan and Saudi Arabia on Sunday to discuss his effort to broker peace between Israel and the Palestinians, Kerry said, &#8220;We will stand with the government of Iraq and with others who will push back against their efforts to destabilize &#8230; We are going to do everything that is possible. I will not go into the details.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kerry then added, &#8220;We are not contemplating putting boots on the ground.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Of course, we can take that with a grain of salt, because that was the same promise that the Obama Administration made to us in regards to Libya and months later we discovered that the promise wasn&#8217;t kept. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Sky News also reported that ISIL had received a boost in recent days from local Sunni tribesmen, who had joined them to fight the forces of Iraq&#8217;s Shiite-led government.
