Our friends at Weasel Zippers<\/a> noticed that our current National Security Advisor Susan Rice told Lesley Stahl at 60 Minutes<\/a> that “we have not had a successful attack on our homeland since 9\/11”;<\/p>\n

Lesley, [NSA’s spying on US citizens has] been worth what we\u2019ve done to protect the United States. And the fact that we have not had a successful attack on our homeland since 9\/11 should not be diminished. But that does not mean that everything we\u2019re doing as of the present ought to be done the same way in the future.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I guess it’s all a matter of semantics, if the Obama Administration is unwilling to label attacks on US soil as terrorism, I guess she’s right. But in actuality, her statement stopped being true June 1st, 2009<\/a>. A few months into the Obama Administration, Carlos Bledsoe shot two soldiers on recruiting duty in Little Rock. Carlos changed his name to Abdulhakim Muhammad when he converted to Islam. He tried to tell the state’s prosecutor<\/a> that it was a terrorist attack and that he had links to al Qaeda. And then there is the attack at Fort Hood that the government absolutely refuses to call terrorism. And, oh, by the way, what the Hell was the Boston Marathon bombing? The Benghazi attack on September 11th, 2012 was technically on US territory, not to put too fine a point on it.<\/p>\n
