{"id":38665,"date":"2013-11-29T12:41:04","date_gmt":"2013-11-29T17:41:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=38665"},"modified":"2013-11-29T12:41:26","modified_gmt":"2013-11-29T17:41:26","slug":"attack-on-yakota","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=38665","title":{"rendered":"Attack on Yakota?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stripes.com\/news\/home-made-launchers-likely-fired-at-yokota-air-base-officials-say-1.255091\">Stars &#038; Stripes<\/a> reports that someone may or may not have fired on Yokota Air Base in Japan with homemade mortars or something last night.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p> Residents near the base, which serves as headquarters for U.S. Forces Japan, reported explosions at about 11.30 p.m., according to a Tokyo Metropolitan Police spokesman.<\/p>\n<p>Police found two metal pipes, lead wire and a battery in an empty lot about 350 meters east of the base. Partly buried, the pipes pointed toward the base, said a spokesman for Tachikawa Police, which initially responded to the calls.<\/p>\n<p>Yokota spokesman Capt. Ray Geoffroy confirmed the discovery of improvised launching devices near the base but said there are no reports of injuries or damage.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/worldnews.nbcnews.com\/_news\/2013\/11\/29\/21669951-left-wing-activists-suspected-after-projectile-is-fired-at-us-base-in-japan?lite=\">NBC<\/a>, in a link sent to us by Pinto Nag, reports that it may have been left-wing activists, whatever that means;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>National broadcaster NHK reported that left-wing activists were suspected to be behind the attack. NBC News was unable to independently confirm the report.<\/p>\n<p>Similar incidents targeted Yokota air base in Oct. 2009 and July 2007. No injuries were reported during either attack.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I guess left-wing Japanese terrorists are just nicer than regular terrorists.
