Cambra killed Officer Robert Libke after the officer responded to the fire that Cambra started in his house, then Cambra killed himself. According to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stripes.com\/news\/veterans\/va-clarifies-why-cop-killer-s-remains-were-removed-from-military-cemetery-1.254868\">Stars &#038; Stripes<\/a>, the Hillside Chapel, which acted as Cambra&#8217;s next of kin, lied on the application for a veterans burial;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p> After a story in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oregonlive.com\/oregon-city\/index.ssf\/2013\/11\/as_thousands_grieve_for_office.html\">The Oregonian<\/a> alerted the VA that Cambra might not qualify for placement at a military cemetery, the VA contacted Hillside, which took possession of the remains, Phillips said.<\/p>\n<p>Hillside Chapel owner David Bone declined comment. &#8220;I have nothing to say,&#8221; Bone said.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear what will become of Lawrence Cambra&#8217;s ashes.<\/p>\n<p>Public records indicate that Cambra enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in Hawaii on Dec. 15, 1945. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That&#8217;s good.
