The first was the book &#8220;Ender&#8217;s Game&#8221; which was largely responsible for landing me in a military school.  But the second was the 1987-1990 TV series &#8220;Tour of Duty.&#8221;  To this day when I hear Paint it Black I want to head off into the jungle and hunt Charlie.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0z6fcd--354\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Anyone else have some sort of thing that pushed them in this direction?
