We all know that to err is human.\u00a0 And we\u2019ve also all heard some variant of, \u201cIf you\u2019re gonna screw up, you might as well make it a good one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Well, it seems as if one \u2013 or perhaps several \u2013 folks in the Vatican took those sayings to heart recently.\u00a0 Here\u2019s an image of a new Papal Medal commemorating Pope Francis\u2019 first year as Pope:<\/p>\n

Maybe it\u2019s just me, but I don\u2019t ever remember hearing that Latin inscriptions often used the letter “L” in place of a “J”.\u00a0 Or that Jesus of Nazareth really spelled His name with an \u201cL\u201d, either.\u00a0 (smile)<\/p>\n

A total of 6,000 of the Papal Medals were reportedly minted in silver and bronze, and 200 in gold. Oopsie.<\/p>\n
