Last year, he was deployed to Afghanistan. He was stationed at Camp Marmal, in Mazar-i-Sharif.\u00a0 While there, he was assigned duties as Fuels Manager for Regional Command – North.<\/p>\n
SFC Toubekis found some issues indicating possible theft of fuel.\u00a0 So he took appropriate action.<\/p>\n
An investigation resulted in the identification of multiple fuel-theft rings.\u00a0 He’s now credited with preventing the theft of up to $20 million worth of fuel – so far.\u00a0 The tally will likely climb for a while.<\/p>\n
