{"id":36877,"date":"2013-07-31T08:59:40","date_gmt":"2013-07-31T12:59:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=36877"},"modified":"2013-07-31T08:59:40","modified_gmt":"2013-07-31T12:59:40","slug":"afghan-civilian-casualties-rise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=36877","title":{"rendered":"Afghan civilian casualties rise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, as the Obama Administration and our allies switch to the withdrawal strategy, the Taliban, needing to satisfy their bloodlust are killing more civilians these days, according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stripes.com\/news\/middle-east\/report-civilian-casualties-rising-in-afghanistan-1.233040\">Stars &#038; Stripes<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Civilian deaths and injuries rose by 23 percent in the first half of 2013 compared with the same period last year, and 74 percent of the casualties were attributed to insurgent groups, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan reported. In particular, the report noted the proliferation of roadside bombs (IEDs). Nine percent of the casualties were blamed on international or Afghan forces.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, they&#8217;d better get used to it, because there ain&#8217;t no help coming.
