<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nWayne Motley, the mayor of Waukegan, IL says that the phony claims <\/a>of his police chief, Robert Kerkorian, that he was a Navy SEAL, are irrelevant according to a link sent to us<\/a> by Ex-PH2 and Mark. <\/p>\n …retired Lake County State\u2019s Attorney investigator Mark Pleasant called for an independent investigation into whether or not the chief falsely claimed on a 1987 city job application to have trained as a Navy SEAL.<\/p>\n \u201cI think that the citizens of Waukegan have a right to know what that truth is,\u201d Pleasant said to the City Council on Monday, June 17, stressing that he was speaking as a resident of the city and not in any way related to his career as a Lake County law enforcement community.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a defining moment for Mayor Motley and his administration, and it\u2019s a defining moment for this City Council,\u201d Pleasant added. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n Yeah, what good is a known liar on the stand testifying against citizens? How does a known liar command the respect of his subordinate officers?<\/p>\n Mayor Motley dismissed it as essentially being irrelevant to his qualifications to function as the chief of police in Waukegan. I respectfully disagree,\u201d said Pleasant, who told the council he comes from a military family.<\/p>\n \u201cChief Kerkorian is reported by many to have been a very good police officer throughout his career, and I sincerely appreciate his service to the community.
