{"id":35670,"date":"2013-05-17T06:32:31","date_gmt":"2013-05-17T10:32:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=35670"},"modified":"2013-05-17T06:32:31","modified_gmt":"2013-05-17T10:32:31","slug":"todays-irs-scandal-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=35670","title":{"rendered":"Today&#8217;s IRS Scandal Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From news reports over the last 24 hours or so:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/latino.foxnews.com\/latino\/politics\/2013\/05\/16\/irs-allegedly-targeted-latino-run-conservative-group\/\">Conservative Hispanic groups<\/a> were also apparently targeted by the IRS for \u201cspecial attention\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>At least one conservative public media figure (a Fox News host) <a href=\"http:\/\/nation.foxnews.com\/irs-targeting-tea-party\/2013\/05\/16\/eric-bolling-i-was-audited-after-criticizing-obama\">was audited during the period after publicly criticizing the POTUS<\/a>, raising the specter of the possibility of a deliberate attempt to silence opposing media voices by agents of the Federal government.\u00a0 (First Amendment, anyone?)<\/li>\n<li>Four (NOT two) IRS employees in Cincinnati involved in the scandal have claimed they <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fox19.com\/story\/22265631\/four-cincy-irs-workers-not-two-allegedly-connected-to-scandal\">\u201csimply did what their bosses ordered\u201d<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The individual in charge of the IRS tax-exempt organizations office for the bulk of the time that harassment activities were occurring,\u00a0Sarah Hall Ingram. <a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/blogs\/politics\/2013\/05\/irs-official-in-charge-during-tea-party-targeting-now-runs-health-care-office\/\">now runs the IRS \u201cObamacare\u201d office<\/a>.\u00a0 And someone apparently <em>really<\/em> liked her former division\u2019s performance during that period of unethical and probably unlawful harassment.\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/irs-tax-exemptionobamacare-exec-got-100390-in-bonuses\/article\/2529899\">She received more than $100k in bonuses<\/a> during that 4 year period (2009-2012), or an average of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">over $25k\/year in bonuses<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That\u2019s it for today.\u00a0 \u201cMove along, folks; nothing to see here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, right.\u00a0 This is getting so bad that even Chrissy-poo Mathews\u2019 leg is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/blogs\/media\/2013\/05\/chris-matthews-sours-on-obama-164095.html\">apparently no longer all tingly<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But at least one individual has found <a href=\"http:\/\/blacksportsonline.com\/home\/2013\/05\/caption-the-photo-eagles-ol-evan-mathis-peeing-on-irs-building-sign\/\">an IMO completely apropos symbolic response<\/a> to the IRS\u2019s high-handed and potentially unlawful conduct.\u00a0 (Suggestive, but probably OK for work &#8211; unless you work for the IRS.)
