Sam who boasted of receiving the silver star, purple heart and other decorations while serving with special forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Schroeder claimed he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, and became the director of counseling at the PTSD Foundation in Houston.

When Schroeder tried to get Silver Star license plates for his car, however, police discovered his military record had been forged. His real records show Schroeder was never in the Special Forces. In fact, he’d never even been in combat.

Of course, when Jaie tried to ask Schroeder about why he did what he did, Schroeder had no comment. Bustamante, on the other hand was more talkative;

Bustamante admits the ribbons he’s wearing in the pictures aren’t his. He claims he borrowed them from a friend.

“Because of those pictures I caught a bunch of flak from all the guys that actually been there. I respect that they were there you know, I was a veteran too,” Bustamante said.

“I understand how they’re offended and they’re upset you know.”

Bustamante admits he never fought in Vietnam, but he still insists he was awarded a bronze star, for rescuing a fellow marine in the Philippines. He claims they both shipped over on the USS Missouri.

We checked and the Missouri wasn’t being used by the navy at the time. It was actually a floating museum.

“They gave me an award and they said it was a bronze star because I saved his life,” Bustamante said.

Yeah, we looked at the history of the USS Missouri and it had been a museum in Bremerton, Washington from 1955 until 1984, so he must’ve been on one long-ass float.

Lucky for us, the phonies are really stupid and, apparently, they don’t use the internet very well.

Like I said yesterday, Jaie’s story is a two parter, tonight he’ll be tracking down the Weeble, Tina Kersten, the word is that she flees from the camera – watching that lard-ass trying to get out of sight should be worth the watching.

Our buddy, Jaie Avila at WAOI4 in San Antonio, writes an article today about confronting two … Stolen Valor in San AntonioRead more

[30

post-35349","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-phony-soldiers
["GET
