The Washington Post<\/a> reports that unnamed sources have said that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his brother were motivated to bomb the Boston Marathon by our recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan;<\/p>\n

…the evidence so far suggests they were \u201cself-radicalized\u201d through Internet sites and U.S. actions in the Muslim world. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has specifically cited the U.S. war in Iraq, which ended in December 2011 with the removal of the last American forces, and the war in Afghanistan, where President Obama plans to end combat operations by the end of 2014.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, they weren’t demotivated by our massive expenditures in Kosovo or in Libya, which are also Muslim nations? Only the Bush Wars can influence people, huh? Imagine that.<\/p>\n

And, oh, yeah, in Iraq we removed a brutal dictator who was punishing about half of his Muslim subjects because of their slightly different religious views. Not to mention the way the Taliban was doing the same thing in their country, Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

I know what the Left is going to say; our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan just made more terrorists and the Tsarnaev brothers are evidence of that. But the way Hussein and the Taliban treated their subjects didn’t create terrorists? In fact, the Taliban is busy killing more civilians than they are killing their enemies right now. The Tsarnaev brothers weren’t pissed off about that?<\/p>\n

So their solution was to bomb a random bunch of innocent, unarmed Americans on a public street? Yeah, so all of the Leftists wish that Saddam Hussein was back on his throne in Iraq and the Taliban was back to chopping off little girls’ heads in Afghanistan, raise your hands. If Tsarnaev truly said that, and at there’s no evidence that he did at this point, he’s only playing to the Left’s foregone conclusions and hoping that you’ll find him innocent by reason of George W.
