{"id":35030,"date":"2013-04-10T17:33:25","date_gmt":"2013-04-10T21:33:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=35030"},"modified":"2013-04-10T17:33:57","modified_gmt":"2013-04-10T21:33:57","slug":"seal-to-testify-at-breanna-mannings-trial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=35030","title":{"rendered":"SEAL to testify at Breanna Manning&#8217;s trial"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ROS sends a link to <a href=\"http:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/1076449\/wikileaks-bin-laden-raid-member-can-testify\">SkyNews<\/a> which reports that a member of the SEAL Team which got bin Laden will testify at Breanna Manning&#8217;s trial that the documents that he released to Wikileaks aided the enemy;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p> Defence lawyers had argued that proof of receipt is not relevant to whether Manning aided the enemy.<\/p>\n<p>The judge disagreed, saying the government &#8220;must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that intelligence was both given to and received by the enemy&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The witness has been publicly identified only as &#8220;John Doe&#8221; and as a Defence Department &#8220;operator&#8221;, a designation given to Seals.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors say he participated with Seal Team Six in their May 2011 assault on the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, in which the terrorist leader was killed.<\/p>\n<p>His testimony would help establish a chain of custody for the evidence from its recovery to its analysis by a computer expert.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That&#8217;s &#8220;SEALs&#8221;, SkyNews, they aren&#8217;t aquatic mammals. Or something.
