<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nYeah, I know we haven’t heard much from the filthy band of dregs attached to Matthis and Elaine Brower lately, until today when we hear the results of their arrest way back on December 1, 2009<\/a> outside West Point. Thanks to Deborah Sweet for the report<\/a>;<\/p>\n Six anti-war activists and leaders, aged 30 through 75 were sentenced on March 19 to eight hours \u201ccommunity service,\u201d and $125 court costs for a disorderly conduct conviction arising from a protest 300 people made December 1, 2009, when Obama announced, inside the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, a huge expansion of US troops to Afghanistan.<\/p>\n Elaine Brower, Matthis Chiroux, Tarak Kauff, Alison Beth Levy, and Richie Marini agreed to serve the time, washing Highland Falls, NY, ambulances and police cars, and pay the fee. Beverly Rice asked that she be able to send funds instead to the National Lawyers Guild, and when that was denied, she took jail time, on the basis of conscience. Her sentence was ten days at the Orange County jail, where she was taken immediately. The sheriff says Bev, 75, will be released early.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Of course, Brower was the most vociferous of the group – that Staten Island persona, ya know;<\/p>\n Elaine Brower said she had been outside the gate at West Point to \u201cpetition my government\u201d to stop the war. \u201cMy son did ten years in the Marine Corps, two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. He has done horrible things\u201d as part of the U.S. war on those countries. She said \u201cI am seeing that injustice in the eyes of my son who is emotionally wounded.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Still picking on her son and hiding behind his service to justify her bad behavior.<\/p>\n I’m just glad that some judge, somewhere finally summoned the testicular fortitude to punish the filthy beasts. And for someone who claims to be ashamed of his service, Matthis sure wears his uniform an awful lot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
