{"id":34466,"date":"2013-03-08T08:09:02","date_gmt":"2013-03-08T12:09:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=34466"},"modified":"2013-03-08T08:09:02","modified_gmt":"2013-03-08T12:09:02","slug":"sulaiman-abu-ghaith-visits-nyc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=34466","title":{"rendered":"Sulaiman Abu Ghaith visits NYC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, the son-in-law of Osama bin Laden, is making an appearance in a New York City court after being captured in Jordan last week or so according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/2013\/03\/08\/bin-laden-spokesman-set-to-appear-in-ny-court-to-face-charge-plotted-to-kill\/\">Fox News<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The case marks a legal victory for President Barack Obama&#8217;s administration, which has long sought to charge senior al-Qaida suspects in American federal courts instead of military tribunals at the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. But it runs counter to demands by Republicans in Congress who do not want high-threat terror suspects brought into the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Justice said Abu Ghaith was the spokesman for al-Qaida, working alongside bin Laden and current leader Ayman al-Zawahri, since at least May 2001. Abu Ghaith is a former mosque preacher and teacher.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yay! Big victory for the Obama Administration!
