{"id":34459,"date":"2013-03-07T15:09:41","date_gmt":"2013-03-07T19:09:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=34459"},"modified":"2013-07-24T15:27:56","modified_gmt":"2013-07-24T19:27:56","slug":"thursday-feel-good-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=34459","title":{"rendered":"Thursday feel good story"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chief Tango sends us a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ksn.com\/news\/local\/story\/Sumner-County-farmer-kills-fugitive-from-Iowa\/oojMC7j_FEGhMj077nxBEw.cspx\">link from Sumner County, Kansas<\/a>, where a farmer encountered a known-to-be-armed fugitive on a relative&#8217;s farm;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The farmer had advised us that he had confronted the individual and had him at gunpoint and the individual took off running,&#8221; said [Sheriff Darren Chambers]. &#8220;At that point, the farmer did not feel threatened and allowed the individual to run away.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But as the man ran away, the farmer realized he was heading toward a relative&#8217;s home where a woman might be home alone.<\/p>\n<p>The farmer took his 17-year-old son and a shotgun with him to check the relative&#8217;s house east of the Kansas Turnpike about 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The relatives were not home, so the farmer and his son decided to check the relative&#8217;s outbuildings.<\/p>\n<p>He found the man hiding in one of the buildings.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The individual jumped out from behind a pile of feed sacks, told the farmer he was going to kill him and attacked,&#8221; said Chambers. &#8220;As he attacked, the farmer shot him.
