Their myopic reportage, of course, doesn’t look at the Left’s part in the record-breaking gun sales. instead they focus on ridiculous bullshit;

Much of the industry’s recent success is linked to politics – in particular, to the gun-buying public’s anxiety about the first black man in the White House.

Seriously, that line isn’t played out yet? I’d have guessed that we got over the whole race thing after the first term. The president denigrated us gun owners during the first campaign and we all knew it was only a matter of time before he came for our guns once he didn’t need our votes any more.

Perversely, the Newtown massacre has only added to the wave of panic buying – as consumers stockpile weapons that could be outlawed.

Perversely? Really? Gun owners knew that the media sensation would drive the emotional Leftists to demand that something, anything be done. So we bought up the things that would be banned as a result. It wasn’t the Newtown shootings that caused the buying, it was the Left’s emotional reaction to it that drove us the stores.

Of course, Rolling Stone says that it’s gun companies who driving this frenzy. Encouraging us to get our kids interested in the sport, but, again, it’s a skill that we think our kids are going to need, because of the emotional Left which demonizes everything that we believe to be true.

And, oh, yeah, Rolling Stone, in their usual patronizing manner, tells the ladies that they’re being seduced into buying guns by the gun companies…not because they’re in real danger because our culture is cracking up.

Firing ranges now offer zombie-themed hunts. “Shooters must battle their way through a Zombie Assault Course to save us all from these undead people eaters,” advertises one Florida range. The industry itself is also cashing in on the craze, selling zombie-branded accessories, including sights that use a biohazard hologram instead of cross hairs for aim. Ammunitions giant Hornady has even rebranded its Critical Defense line of bullets as Zombie Max. “This is an incredible marketing strategy,” one dealer told Shooting Industry. “If you set Hornady Critical Defense next to Zombie Max ammunition, a young customer is going to grab the Zombie ammo. The old-timers don’t care much for it, but the younger shooters love it.”

But there’s no mention of Rolling Stones’ fawning reviews of popular culture zombie movies that fuel the craze. The “old timers” don’t read Rolling Stone (except those balding hippies who tie those few strands of hair they have left on the sides of their heads in a scroungy, skimpy pony tail) or go to Zombie movies – that’s popular culture.

The gun industry’s dirtiest – and most open – secret is that it is profiting from the sale of guns that are illegally trafficked into Mexico to arm the drug cartels responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians. “Nobody has a clue how big that market is,” says Diaz. “It’s like drugs in reverse.”

Can you imagine writing that paragraph without mentioning the “Fast & Furious” operation during which the US Federal government, the Obama Administration, let thousands of guns “walk” to Mexico in spite of the gun industry’s pleas to halt the practice. Those guns that irresponsibly ended up in the hands of criminals have turned up in crime scenes across Mexico – but, no not a mention of “Fast and Furious”, instead Rolling Stone quotes Dianne Feinstein’s claims;

“Military-style weapons are arming Mexico’s brutal drug trafficking organizations at an alarming rate,” Dianne Feinstein wrote in a 2011 letter to her Senate colleagues. Nearly 90 percent of weapons seized in Mexico are trafficked from the U.S. “Many of these firearms came from gun shops and gun shows in Southwest border states,” the GAO reported, decrying the “increasingly lethal weapons,” specifically “high-caliber and high-powered” guns such as “AR-15-type semiautomatic rifles, which fire ammunition that can pierce armor often used by Mexican police.”

Yup, be careful not to mention that the Obama Administration was sending those guns to Mexico, it may screw up any point you might have had.

For the industry itself, the violent deaths of tens of thousands of Mexicans are of no greater concern than the mock executions of zombie dummies.

How much do those deaths count for the Obama Administration?

Divestment from the gun industry is gaining momentum:

Well, that’s brilliant investment strategy, isn’t it? Don’t invest in an industry that’s making money hand over fist.
